Mega Blaziken

There's no doubting the highly technical aspects of this piece. Mega Blaziken looks stunning and everything about the character works here; Your use of perspective, the dynamic pose, the fantastic use of colour and mark making. More over you get the balance right, it is more detailed than the majority of Blaziken deviations I've seen but doesn't attempt hyper-realism at the cost of the Pokemon's character appeal.

You have also achieved a nice balance between an artistic and editorial look here. I presume you've used Copic Markers or similar of the sort and it's quite refreshing to see work that maintains a raw appeal rather than your typically overcooked Photoshop pieces.

My only gripe is with the background. Although it contrasts the character well it does nothing for the overall design and lacks the punch and originality of it's foreground character . Mega Blaziken looks right in the heat of battle, there's a narrative there which is completely lost by shoving sea and clouds behind it, a stronger background would have given it context.

Overall this is another fantastic piece of work. Your Mega Blaziken is full of life, you just needed his environment to keep up.
